Please tell me that I am not the only one who watches Knights of Prosperity.

I cannot have another show that I have become interested in this season become canceled.

It's true, this KP is probably more likely appeals to dudes.

But how can you go wrong with a show that features a culturally diverse cast, kick-ass 80s tunes, Mick Jagger's hats (which are, of course, kept in an environmentally-controlled closet), and Dustin "Dirty Sanchez" Diamond as a guest star?

You can't!

Plus, it's some funny sh*t (pun intended - see dirty sanchez).

How fitting ...

... that the Purple One ended the Super Bowl halftime show with "Purple Rain" during a torrential downpour?

Priceless.

P.S. - I am not ashamed to admit, I got a little misty during the spectacle that is Prince.

Super Bowl XLI

It seems it's a foregone conclusion that Peyton Manning will win Super Bowl XLI tomorrow.

Notice I said Peyton Manning, not the Indianapolis Colts.

Every time I hear a discussion about the Super Bowl, the talk usually centers around the fact that Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman sucks in comparison to Manning.

This may be true.

Let's face it.

Manning has gotten the Colts through some tough games, only never to have won the big game.

But it takes a team to get to the big one. I understand that the quarterback is seen by most as the most important person on the team.

This may also be true.

But let's keep in mind that if the receiver doesn't catch the quarterback pass, the pass is useless.
If the offensive line doesn't block well enough to give a quarterback more time to make a great decision, then the decision he does make can sometimes be the wrong one.

And if the defense doesn't do it's job in keeping the opposing team's point total to a minimum, then the quarterback can often be in a position to have to play catch up.

Which I guess is why all of the talk focuses on Peyton Manning. And what makes him great.

The "king of the comebacks," he has shown that he can step up during the most harrowing of games.

No easy feat in the NFL.

So, I guess I have just folded and have to lean to the Indianapolis Colts to win the Super Bowl.

But I'm not putting money on it.

Prince of the Super Bowl

I loves me some Prince.

However I am a little surprised that he is providing this year's Super Bowl entertainment. It just doesn't seem like a venue he would be interested in playing.

I have to say, though.

As much as I live his music, I truly hope he doesn't have a wardrobe malfunction.

No one wants to see that.

It freaks me out that 2007 is already one month down.

Although I know it is bad to wish time away, I really am sorta glad to see January is a thing of the past with all this crappy icy weather we've been having.

Hopefully February will be snow and ice free.

The fear of falling and cracking my head open has gotten out of control.

I need relief.

Only 20 days until Christmas and I am happy to announce that I have done none of my Christmas shopping.

I'm not worried.

I'm gonna gift certificate it up this year for my friends.

Impersonal?

Maybe.

Easier than schlepping around a crowded mall for days on end trying to find the perfect gift?

5.6 left until I reach my goal.

Nice! Even with all I ate at Thanksgiving, I still stayed within my maintenance weight! Only three weeks left until I reach lifetime!

A friend of mine puts hers up the day after Halloween.

That's right.

Not the day after Thanksgiving.

The day after Halloween.

Needless to say, her home is quite the Christmas wonderland.

It makes me wish every day was Christmas!

It's back to work we go

Man is it hard to go back to work after a four-day weekend!

Especially a four-day holiday weekend.

I'm still full.

Seriously.

Somebody put me out of my misery.

Please.

Full as a tick

Since I have been on Weight Watchers I have learned to eat better and eat less.

I try to eat things that have more fiber so that I feel satisfied while not going over my total number of points for the day.

Yesterday I did the Turkey Trot five-mile run at Lake Hefner before having Thanksgiving dinner.

So, I thought that would give me more leeway to really eat all that I wanted.

I did just that.

But man, did I suffer the consequences.

I ate no more yesterday than I usually do at Thanksgiving. In fact, I ate a little less because I think my body is used to having less to feel satisfied.

But I was miserable.

I pretty much did nothing but moan and groan the rest of the day because I felt so full and bloated.

Can't wait 'til next Thanksgiving!

No weigh in this week because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Dang!

I need the consistency of the weigh in!

Not tonight ... I have a headache

When you have a headache, what do you take for it?

I am a huge fan of Excedrin: the headache medicine.

But I know a lot of eople who take Advil. Advil does nothing for me.

Give me the Excedrin and I am a happy camper!

A weighty matter

So when you are trying to lose weight, do you weigh every day?

Or do you go more off how your clothes fit?

I've become a believer in relying on my clothes rather than the scale to show my progress.

I love to eat

Is it bad that I count down the days until Thanksgiving because I cannot wait to gorge myself on all the awesome food?

OK. It probably is bad that I let food control my thoughts like that.

Oh well.

I am human.

Plus, green bean casserole kicks ass!
